Dear Grundy Center High School Students and Parents:
We are excited to be embarking on this 1:1 laptop project in our high school. This is a fantastic opportunity to transform teaching and learning in and out of the classroom. In addition, we look forward to upgrading and enhancing technology and interactive tools in our middle and elementary schools.
As we continue to move forward with this endeavor, we want to thank the Grundy Center School Board, students, teachers, parents and community members for its continued support of this initiative. Your support is greatly appreciated as we strive to provide engaging and meaningful learning opportunities for our students.
We are confident that this project will assist us in providing our high school students with the tools and skills required to compete in the 21st century world of work and higher education. In addition, we are equally confident that students will take full advantage of the opportunity to foster collaborative skills and project-based learning that is required for the “real world.”
We are proud to be taking these first steps into what will be a great opportunity for our teachers and students. Your continued support is appreciated.

Students that are signed up for college classes (Senior Year Plus / Concurrent enrollment)
must have the Compass testing completed BEFORE school begins. Students have the
opportunity to take the Compass test at the Western Outreach and need to schedule this
immediately if they have not taken the test or have not earned the required cut score
to allow them to take the class. Please do not wait any longer on getting this done. |

Students that need to make changes to their 10-11 schedules should:
1 . Check their year schedule that is enclosed in the district mailing. Students should not have a study period on their schedule. If there is a “study” see below. (Download Schedule)
2 . Look at the 10-11class schedule that is posted on the school’s web site and see what class you would like to enroll in for that period. Students should plan out for the entire year.
3 . Send an email to Mrs. Hinderhofer, Mrs. Kuiper, and Mr. VanderPol requesting the changes. We will make the changes and then send the information back to you. The office is open 7:45 - 12:00 & 12:30 - 4:15 Monday - Friday starting Wednesday, July 28th; we are available to make changes during this time.
